What do You do, on Your Sea Day??

Wondering what you do on your sea day??? I my-self sleep in a bit longer call for room service and drink coffee on the balcony for a while. Just lounge around in the cabin and relax. Son and wife are doing their own thing. This is what I like about a cruise. I can do my thing and they can do theirs. Lunch time I take the DW out for lunch, don't get to do much of that during the real world!!! Walk around the ship a bit after lunch, then back to the cabin for a nap or book on the balcony!!!! Off to the sauna and shower before dinner. Then a show maybe?? Off to the Lido deck for some fun and drinks,, then down to the casino!!!!! I use to try to do everything on the ship, but when I got home I was so tired. Now I just relax at sea and go for it in port!:)

So how do you spend your day at sea???

Sounds familiar.

We take a look at the capers to see if there's anything of interest. I'm ALWAYS up first, do my coffee run, a stroll, back to the balcony, repeat, till DW and DD wake up.

Then up for breakfast, and then look for a spot in the sun.

Late PM, it's off to the sauna, or the steam room if it's not too hot, with some showers and the jacuzzi in between, then dinner, a stroll before the show, the show, and then ANYTHING GOES.

I agree with you. My sea day is for relaxation. I like foo foo drinks on the Lido deck. A little dip in the pool, a few minutes in the hot tub, then back to my lounge chair for a little sun and a little nap. If the mood strikes, I might even read a page or two in the books I drag along to every cruise. I've done the games, bingo, shows, etc., in the past. I'd rather spend my time doing my own thing. After dinner, perhaps a little dancing and more foo foos.;)

get up about 9, have breakfast, lay on the aft deck 10 (where there's a fraction of the people crowded around the main pool), read, cat nap, order foo-foos from the waiters as they walk by, try to remember to flip every so often (from back to front) as I like my "Coppertone tan" to be as even as possible :D , take a dip in the pool, hit the grill for killer chili dogs, repeat. Then, right about the time the crew on deck starts to put the chairs away (about 5:00, it's been my experience), go down to the room, shower, relax some more, go to dinner. After dinner, stroll around the ship, hit the bar for a bit, then the ice cream machine, then back to the room.

I get up early, go to the gym to pay for my sins of the previous day and to hopefully offset the sins of that day. When I come back to the cabin DW is usually stirring. We go in for breakfast. After breakfast we'll see if there is anything going on we just can't miss. If not, then I head for the pool area to sun, read and drink.

DW heads for the spa to be pampered and to buy everything they suggest to her. :)

Usually I will head up to Lido and make a plate for DW and I and some coffee. We hang aroiund the cabin or on the balcony and have a leisurely breakfast.

After that we check the capers and see if anything planned for the day strikes our fancy, and then we take it from there. If there is , then we go, otherwise we hang around the pool, or hit the casino, or just stroll around the ship. or stay in the cabin for adult activities :)

Thats what i love about sea days , you don't have to be anywhere ,anytime soon *LOL* such a great treat from our everyday lives :)

Sleep in, breakfast on the balcony, fix a morning drinkie, back to the balcony to read and listen to CDs, fix another drinkie, wander over to the casino, lose some money, out to the lido to grab something from the grill or a pizza, back to the balcony for late afternoon drinkie, quick nap, switch to wine on the balcony, then off to dinner and the shows or casino. Finally, back to the balcony to "unwind" :D from the day listening to CDs, watching the sea and polishing off the wine. Just love those sea days.

Sea days are my absolute favorite! I sleep in, eat breakfast, find a nice chair by the pool (hopefully) on the Lido deck, read and talk to people sitting next to me, drink foo-foo drinks, take a dip to cool off and listen to the band playing. Around two or three, I go to my cabin, shower, change into comfy clothes and wander around the decks, visiting the shops, stopping by a favorite lounge/bar for a drink . . . if there's a bingo game going on, I might try my luck. Then it's back to my cabin to watch TV (shore excursion talks or newlywed game or whatever else went on while I was out in the sun earlier in the day) . . . as I dress for dinner. In the evening . . . after dinner, I usually stop by the casino for a little blackjack and then on to the show or whatever else caught my eye in the day's Caper. Usually stop by my favorite lounge/bar for one last drink before turning in for the night. Sea days are just very relaxing and laid back and I love them! :p
