Hi--we just learned that we have made it off the wait list for this cruise (the one departing Cape Town, SA, on Jan. 7, 2014. We are a little late in joining this thread, and we want to make contact with fellow cruisers. We are interested in tours that are being put together and since we have traveled extensively, but not to most of our ports, we need input. We live in Pacific Palisades, CA and have been on several other Oceania cruises. Pali Pals

The way to do so is to go to the roll call for the cruise.

Go to Oceania Roll Calls

Nautica Roll Calls

Then look for the thread for your specific cruise

Hi--we will try that now. Do you find this site a little mysterious and off-putting? We do. Hope the info we find following your instructions is more transparent. Are you on this cruise?

Thanks again. Pali Pals--Louise and Al

I am not on your cruise

It is VERY common for folks new to Cruise Critic to post looking for fellow cruisers on the main board for the cruise line. Common error.

The Oceania board, eg, is for general questions about Oceania. So if you have a question about cabins, policies, restaurants, internet -- anything that relates to pretty much all Oceania cruises, this is the place to post.

The roll call is for your specific cruise. There you can hook up with others on your cruise and share private shore excursions if you like.

The Ports of Call boards are for find information in general about the ports.

You will get the hang of it. We have all been through the learning curve.
