bobnjeff Posted April 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2013 Just returned from 14 day cruise on The Eclipse. Never knew this but noise from the theater is very loud in the inside cabins on deck 7 forward. I was in 7174 and could very clearly hear every rehearsal of the shows. No napping in this cabin in the afternoon when they rehearsed which was most every afternoon. I now will avoid this area of the Solstice class ships in the future and others may also want to avoid the noise as well.
Theologator Posted April 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2013 Wow. What a bummer. Thanks for sharing - we're on the aft 1/3rd of deck 7 on Reflection, but I'm sure others will want to beware. If you haven't already, post your room review on this threat so librarylady19 can add it to her comprehensive database of Solstice Class ships. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=911018 I hope you'll post a broader review when you get a chance. Again, sorry for the disappointment. That's not what you paid for.
lovedecruise Posted April 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2013 Regarding the theatre noise affecting inside cabins on Deck 7 - Do you think it only affects the inside cabins? I see by the deck plans that there is a blank space on deck 6 under the forward inside cabins on deck 7. Maybe they are not insulated very well from the sound. We are forward in 7136 but have cabins beneath us. Am wondering if we will hear the noise as well. Any thoughts, anyone?
fishycomics Posted April 11, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2013 thanks for sharing. I think any cabin that is located above a theater, Casino, food, even under, is a sign of avoidance. If I paid good money I be disappointed to. :DI can sleep with natural sounds and a balcony would take care of that.:D
