Are the pool tables on the Liberty next to the casino free?

I saw a picture of pool tables that looked like they were just outside of the casino in the Liberty. Are these tables free? They have free ping pong and it would be fun to play pool too.

No, if I remember correctly they were pretty expensive and you rented them by the hour. In th $20 an hour range I think?

We were on the conquest a few weeks ago(yes i realize different ship) and they had a pool table. it was outside the sports bar if i remember correctly. and for $20 you could rent it. I thought that was crazy honestly.

This is a great idea especially for that underserved age of 18-20 but yet you gotta pay out the ying yang to play it. Ping pong is free, mini golf is free...why not the pool tables.

just make it to where you have to check in and out cues, balls etc, 18+. no kids playing on it. i'd play pool and drink more beers/cocktails with hubby if that was the case.

p.s.

I NEVER saw anyone playing it...i bet for that reason alone-$'s

I have no idea what the prices are, but $20/hour doesn't seem steep at all. One of my first dates with my husband was to a pool hall here in NYC and that was about the going rate at the time and that was 18 years ago.

yes, at a pool hall, you play for pool...but this is a cruise. all the other games are included. mini golf, shuffle board, ping pong, bean bag toss, ropes etc.

I've never paid $20 for a pool table a game or per hour. Been to many halls.

That's the same cost per hour at Dave and Busters last time we went. I was thrilled they wanted to play pool instead of those horrible games that are so expensive. Saved me lots of $s. Yes a little pricey. The cheap or free pool everywhere we have ever been though are very poorly maintained pool tables. I have never seen inexpensive ones that were nice. I didn't know this was available and I would be willing to do it for one hour with DS on our next cruise on a few evenings. Thanks for posting.

How can you accurately play billiards when the ship is moving?

If I remember right from what was said when Carnival was first installing them, they are self-levelling pool tables. Like the one in this video:
