Kids Club

My kids will be in the 6-9 program on the gem - any info you can share would be great. When doing a search it seems outdated.

How do they contact you if there's an issue? Do they give a beeper? Just wondering.

Also, do you know the hours usually during the day? They're closed at some point I think - I know that after 10:30 it's a charge to stay there.

Thanks!

When you register at the kids club on day 1, they give you a mobile phone for use only on the ship. If they need to, they call you on it to come get your child.

The hours are usually 9am to 10:30 pm, with some closure during the day to ensure that you feed your kids. You only pay for hours supervised after 10:30 or so.

There are usually lots of threads posting kids club activities in the freestyle dailies. The list of activities is very extensive and very entertaining for the kids.

Good luck!

Here's the 6-9 for our recent trip on the Epic (February 2013). However, they did not give anyone phones. We were in a suite so we did have the suite phone which works on the ship, but as a matter of practice they don't give out phones. They ask where you'll be if they need to find you (pool deck, casino, which restaurant, etc.). They closed every sea day from 12-2 and 5-7 and I understand this is going fleetwide.
