What to wear in the Dinnings rooms for Dinner?

What do most people wear in the Dinings rooms on non formal night? Is it ok for guys to wear shorts with like a polo shirts?:)

As per the last line in the link Tef posted, shorts are not permitted in the dining room. But a pair of khakis with a polo shirt is fine.

I ALWAYS (almost?) have worn blue jeans on non-formal nights in the dining room on Carnival.

 

I KNOW (I think) some people don't read (not can't). On a 7 night cruise, 2 nights are "formal" {HA}, 5 nights are NOT. On the 5 NOT nights, a tux would be an extreme exception.

 

MOST people do NOT dress up for non-formal nights.

 

I also KNOW some people wear jeans even on FORMAL nights.
