Carnival Paradise April 1 -6 with pictures and funtimes

Nice review! I have never been on a smaller ship before, so its cool to see how different it looks inside. I always look at reviews and people don't post what I want to see i.e. rooms and atrium. I was in GC and Coz back in Feb..now I want to go back but I am looking forward to my Canadian Cruise in June!!! Lido!!!

Thank you for posting this review and the Fun Times. I have not read your review yet..I wanted to thank you first. The fun times or Daily Schedule is a big factor in which ship I book for DH and me. I cannot understand why they are so hard to find. You have made a lot of people happy ttoday. A cruise can cost a lot of money,,,,,and it is good to know what you are going to get. Happy Many More Sails to you Good Lady!

 

You are welcome! I had a hard time finding funtimes for this cruise, so I wanted to make sure I brought them back with me. I don't understand why they are had to find either.

Thank you so much for the review!! I'm very excited to read the rest of it and see more pictures! This will be our wedding cruise (getting married on the ship in Grand Cayman), and we will have 20 people total in our group!

We headed back to the ship. I got some food on the Lido deck and got ready for sailaway. It really wasn't much except for 3 line dances which everyone seemed to enjoy. I headed back to the cabin to shower and get ready for the VIFP Club Party in the Queen Mary Lounge. It was very nice. I met my group at the Rotterdam Bar and headed to dinner. After dinner we went to 60 Seconds. It was funny. I headed to the casino after the show and called it an early night. I have attached the door tag you get when you go to the VIFP club party.

We were not arriving in Cozumel until 11 am. We had purchased an excursion from the ship. Here is the tear off page of the Funtimes and an information sheet that was given to us with our excursion tickets. On the flip side it describes the Behind the Fun Tour.

Slept in this morning since our excursion did not leave until 1 pm. Had breakfast in the dining room. There were many activities on board this morning but I wanted to take a stroll up on the Lido deck to check out the weather and the views.

The excursion chosen by our group was Passion Island by Power Catamaran. It was all-inclusive and the trip was for 5 hours. We were to met on the pier at 12:45 and look for the person holding up a sign for Passion Island. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time when leaving the ship. You are forced to walk through stores on the pier and it is quite a long walk. We were then directed to another pier to board the boat.

We decided to sit in the lower portion of the boat because the weather looked a little iffy.

We found a table in the shade for some of our group. The buffet had chicken and fish and other side items. There were bars located all around. After we ate we went swimming, took advantage of floating mats that were included and some also used the kayaks. There really wasn't a scenic place to kayak, more ocean kayaking but the water was not rough. We didn't walk around the island much. The restrooms were interesting. An attendant would direct you to one, make sure you bring money to tip.

 

We sat up top on the way back to the ship.

Leaving the cataraman we stopped at Fat Tuesdays for some refreshments.

 

 

 

We stopped at a few stores on the way back to the ship and bought a few bottles of liquor. The pier area stores give you tastes as you walk through. The price was a little cheaper than some on the ship, but if you take a picture of the price the ship will honor the same price.

Enjoying your review and copies of the fun times. I noticed that the fun times lists pizza pirate. do you know if the pizza is the new thin crust or whether its still the old pizza place that also serves calzones?

Very nice to read your review. Thank you for taking the time to post your pictures. I have been fortunate enough to visit Cozumel and Grand Cayman on several occasions. I really like both ports. Beautiful water and so many options in both places. My favorite thing about cruising is visiting beautiful ports and not having to drive. Lol!

Thank you. I agree, not having to drive and not having to unpack more than once are some of my favorite things about cruising.

Boarding the ship was not difficult in Cozumel. We had missed are early seating dinner, so we showered and went up to the Paris restaurant for dinner. I have to say this was my first time eating dinner on a cruise ship at the buffet and I was not impressed with the selection or the food. I found out later that some in our group inquired about eating at the late seating and were allowed to go to the dining room and were seated at empty seats. I had never heard of this before. The dinner menu this night was very good and I was sorry I missed it. After dinner I wondered around the ship, did a little shopping and stopped at the casino.

One thing they did have tonight was the Mexican buffet and deck party. We went to check it out and found mostly the teen crowd at the party. I think it may have been because this was spring break.

Really? didn't like the buffet??? That is where we believe Carnival SHINES above the other lines. Good variety - good quality - well-organized - and HOT.

Really, did not care for it at dinner, maybe we didn't find the right location for the dinner food, not really sure. There were not many choices. I enjoy lunch on the Lido but as I said this was my first time at dinner.

Today was lazy sea day. We went to breakfast in the main dining room and afterward did some shopping. We stopped in at the Love and Marriage Show. It was good as always.

I decided to go to the Serenity Area, but there were no chairs. I went to the aft pool. It was very windy. I found a spot at the aft pool but the wind was too much. I almost lost my flip flops off the side of the boat. The wind took them and moved them close to the edge.

We found desserts displayed at the Lido Buffett. Here are a few shots.

 

 

 

 

 

I decided to go to the Casino and I won $600 on a penny machine. I cashed out, went to guest services, paid my bill and went back to the room to pack and get ready for dinner.
