Boatyard Vs. Carlisle Bay

I just started planning my day in Barbados for my cruise in July :). I was wondering what everyones thoughts about going to the Boatyard vs Carlisle Bay (not even sure if they are two different places). I will be with 2 boys 15 and 10 and we all love to snorkel. Will also be looking into snorkeling with the turtles. Any opinions, input will be helpful in leading me in the right direction. THANKS

Ok I just figured out that the Boatyard is a private beach on Carlisle Bay so I guess my question is which is better public or private. Thanks

All beaches in Barbados are public. Any fee you pay to a bar or restaurant is for the use of their facilities, loungers, etc...

 

Carlisle Bay is about a mile long. Check out this site:

Brownes and Pebbles beaches are at the south end of Carlisle Bay.
