stavs Posted April 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2013 Currently I have 23 days sailed with Carnival and need 2 days to go to Gold. I am scheduling a cruise on the Pride in June, and that trip will bring me over the 2 days to get to Gold level. Not that it's a huge deal, but when I book the cruise will they still consider me red, or will be gold?
dms_cruisers04 Posted April 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2013 You will get your Gold status at the start of that cruise since you will reach it during that cruise. Same thing happened with my BILs last summer.

It will not be reflected in your cruise history until after you get back.

serenityandkatie Posted April 16, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2013 We too will be on the Pride(June 9) and we will be hitting the 25 point Gold standard as of the 6th day of the cruise...just to confirm-then we'll be GOLD too?:)
stanze5 Posted April 16, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2013 I was curious also...this may sound silly but our cruise is technically a 4 day but it is Sunday-Thursday, which the way we count vacation days in our house 5 days! :) We are right at the tipping point with 20 days so if they count it as 4 we won't be Gold, but if they can count vacay days as 5 we are "Golden". If Carnival sold you the cruise as 4 days, you will only be credited for 4 days. Sounds like that cruise will leave you one day short. :(
vamartha Posted April 16, 2013 #9 Share Posted April 16, 2013 That is going to happen to me on the Breeze in October. My cruise documents already reflect me as Gold even though I won't actually hit it until 4 days in. On the other hand, there aren't a whole lot of extra perks for Gold. :(
