perks to booking while onboard

we are sailing norwegian epic in dec 2013. i am looking at an alaska cruise for summer 2014. Are there perks to booking while on board the boat?

You can't book your next cruise while on board. You can buy a future cruise credit. You pay $250 and get $250 towards your next cruise. You also get $100 in on board credit on your current cruise. You can only use one FCC per cabin, so if you're planning to book one cabin to Alaska, you can buy and use one FCC.

You don't actually book the cruise while you're on the ship (not boat) but you can buy a future cruise credit, which is beneficial.

There are no perks because you cannot book while onboard. You could access the internet and book as if you were at home, but that's it.
