mollymoo12 Posted April 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2013 Hi I came across these websites today and thought they might be useful to anyone currently planning a cruise to Alaska. This first website shows the days that the cruise ships start their itinerary and by clicking on the link you can also see the ports of call. It might save some time having to look at all the individual cruise company websites. I think it is also useful to work out which itinerary will be best in terms of there being the least number of ships in the most popular ports at any one time, if that is an important factor to you. You can also narrow down the itineraries by route. http://www.cruisealaska.com/cgi/calendar2.pl?may+2012 (ignore the May 2012 part of the link, it links to the 2013 calendar) The second link shows the cruise calendar for Skagway. This is interesting as it shows how many cruise ships will be there on any given day. Looking at this, I would be tempted to stay away from ships where there are 4 ships in port all on the same day as the port will be extremely busy. As the ships tend to follow each other along the same route, I would presume the ports before and after Skagway will also be busy on other days. http://skagway.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/SKG_2013.pdf Regards June
