Ship Island before NOLA

We always spend a few days vacationing before we get on our ship. In June we leave again from NOLA and are thinking of spending an afternoon on Ship Island out of Gulfport, MS. Has anyone been there and if so, what was it like?

We always spend a few days vacationing before we get on our ship. In June we leave again from NOLA and are thinking of spending an afternoon on Ship Island out of Gulfport, MS. Has anyone been there and if so, what was it like?

 

It's a nice trip out. In June it can be a little warm. The beach is as pretty as anything in Florida. If you haven't done it, it's worth a try.
