Briitini Posted April 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2013 Hey all! Just back from my cruise. I will be posting the good, the bad and the ugly as soon as I get the photos uploaded. The photos are the most important because a review without them is pointless :D

Briitini Posted April 27, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted April 27, 2013 Last Sunday we left home (just above Fort Lauderdale) at 9:45am and were on board eating by 11:30am. The process was extremely easy and fast!!! I do not have any tips because it went so smooth. We had zone 13 boarding and it was still veryyy fast. There she is!!!!! Once on board we stopped at guest services because guest logistics in the port were unable to separate our two payment methods for one room. I wanted my charging capabilities and my bf wanted his own account. This took no longer then 15 minutes including the line. Next, we were off to the atrium bar to sign up for the Cheers program. This was a bad experience. The lady working the atrium bar kept going to other customers despite us waiting for over 20 minutes and watching her repeatedly do this. I actually spoke up to another worker asking for the manager. He was able to come behind the bar and take instructions from the lady ignoring us on how to do this. We got signed up!! TIP 1 --> YOU CAN SIGN UP, BY THE ENTRANCE TO THE LIDO DECK. DON'T WAIT AT THE ATRIUM BAR!! ALSO, THE CHARGES FOR EACH PROGRAM CAN BE SEPARATED. TELL THEM YOU WANT THAT DONE!!! Cheers program split. My first drink and put next to my home town (Brevard County, FL) with Miami in the bg. Ok I have to go.. I will post more later.. I hope these image links work!!! belles Posted April 27, 2013 #11 Share Posted April 27, 2013 I was on the same cruise. I loved the Breeze. Just a few minor complaints. I don't think it was the entire dining room staff, but our waiter was sooo slow. We also never had anyone ask if we wanted iced tea or anything other than coffee at the end of our meal. Because the service was so slow we stopped eating there and ate elsewhere for dinner. The beds and pillows I thought were very uncomfortable. I always loved the beds on Carnival, but not this ship. Our cabin (9435) did hear a lot of traffic above which was a little annoying. if you haven't already heard...skip the show Diva's. Horrible. The greats were Guys Burgers, the Motown show, the cleanliness of the ship, all the staff and it's just a beautiful ship. The décor is so much better than the other Carnival ships. The embarkation and debarkation was so fast. The fastest I've ever experienced. I would do the Breeze again

Briitini Posted April 28, 2013 Author #13 Share Posted April 28, 2013 After getting up to the Lido deck it was time to grab some much talked about food. buffet food i decided on the famous guys burgers.. yes they were pretty damn good!!!!!! see.. proof or it didn't happen!!! Now a little about the room :) I got an upgrade to a balcony from inside.. we got to the room and I loved the space. We had room 10257. The balcony is totally worth it.. IMO. The room has a mini fridge, small hair dryer, tv, non pull out couch, safe, nice bathroom etc. I requested the steward take everything out of our fridge. I was not happy with the level of service our steward provided. I never once got a formal introduction to him and his services. I do not require much, but this rubbed me the wrong way. TIP 2 -->The air conditioning IS available to control by occupants of the cabin, however if you are like me and need CIRCULATING air from a fan or some other source you can call your steward and request a box fan. I loved having this for the moving air AND how loud it was to drown out any outside noise. LOVED HAVING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SANITY SAVER!!!! The bed really is ROCK hard. If you like hard and firm beds.. you will be as happy as a pig in **** with these beds. If you like cloud like beds... be prepared people. This really pissed me off because I did not remember the beds on the Imagination being AT ALL like this. The first night I drank too many sweet drinks and was up with a sour stomach and laid on the also rock hard "couch" because the bed was so uncomfortable. The mini fridge sucks... it took 2 days to get the stuff cold. Lame. The cabin was nice and there was no sound from the Lido deck at all. Great location and I would certainly book again on Lido. Great review!!! We just got off on the 21st, and we were in 10278, which was also a Lido Balcony. By ANY chance, was your room steward, Randy?? If so, I share your sentiments. Worst we've ever had, but by NO means did it ruin our trip. Just curious.....
Briitini Posted April 28, 2013 Author #17 Share Posted April 28, 2013 fresh toppings salsas/hot sauces loveddd the tomatillo green sauce.. not spicy.. try it!! CC roll call meet and greet ladies (just a few of the many!) muster station at the ovation theatre fantastic view of miami. the weather was not the best this afternoon. it was hot and humid in certain areas of the boat. i thought i'd like the aft tides bar more.. this is where he held our little meet and greet. when then boat was stopped it was like a heat chamber because there was glass blocking any kind of breeze. when the boat was moving it was fine. we headed back to the boat to watch the breeze leave miami in it's dust

Briitini Posted April 28, 2013 Author #20 Share Posted April 28, 2013 off to the casino before dinner mojito in the casino TIP 4 --> IF YOU ORDER CLASSIC COCKTAILS KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS!!!! EVEN IF YOU ARE ON THE CHEERS PROGRAM. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR RECEIPT TO THE CASINO CAGE AND GET A $5 MATCH PLAY!!! i was selected for the mixology contest!!!! i was going to upload pics of our dinner from the first night, but we only ended up going to the dining room the first 2 nights. after that we decided to be more casual and eat when we wanted and in a less "formal" way. we did the buffet a lot and did cucina de capitano 2 nights as well.. more on that later! time to explore the ship a little. love the decor of this ship.. as most people say it was not gaudy and hideous. it was very nicely designed. loved it!! sports deck at night panaroma of sports deck at night view of the decks at night during the dive in movie

Danacat222 Posted April 28, 2013 #24 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Just curious, how much did you pay for the upgrade from inside to balcony, and at what time before your cruise did you get the upsell offer? We had the same issue with our cabin steward on our Legend cruise, no formal intro, we actually removed our fridge contents ourselves and communicated our needs by using stcky notes, so sad! quickrate Posted April 28, 2013 #25 Share Posted April 28, 2013 I have a question about your room on Lido. We sailed the Breeze in Jan. and had a cove balcony which I really liked but my DH didn't like the lifeboats above as it blocked the view of the stars. We are planning on booking Oct. on the Breeze. He also likes to look down at the water-spends a lot of time on the balcony!!-and I know many of the balconies have a blocked view of the water because of promenade deck. Can you tell me how your balcony on Lido was? Pat
