sandiegocruisedude Posted June 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2005 CSA Travel Protection recently made a major change to their insurance policies. As many of you know, normally you have to purchase insurance within 14 days to be covered for pre-existing conditions. CSA has implemented a new policy allowing clients to purchase insurance up to final payment and still be covered for pre-existing conditions. This is a tremendous benefit as now you don't have to fork over the cost of insurance at time of deposit, you can wait until final payment. Additionally they also now provide coverage for six months after your trip for identity theft, something no one else is doing. Now you have some peace of mind if your id or cards are stolen on a trip.
Dandylyon Posted June 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2005 On the certificate of insurance posted on their website, it says that the pre-existing condition clause is only waived if you purchase the insurance within 24 hours of your final trip payment. Am I missing something?
Happy ks Posted June 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2005 This is good news, we never purchase insurance until final payment is due. We don't have any pre-existing conditions and we don;t relly like to give our $$, especially to an insurance company, before we absolutely have to. Am I missing something? It actually says this: Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion Waiver Is waived provided you meet all of the following requirements: the payment for the plan is received prior to or within 24-Hours of the final trip payment date; and you are not disabled from travel at the time you make your plan payment; and the booking for the Covered Trip must be the first and only booking for this travel period and destination. The pre-existing clause must be "waived" in order for you to be covered....
