SailingSal Posted May 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2013 We are staying at the Hyatt Regency June 22-24 before our cruise. It is our 35th anniversary and thought I would like a great dinner with a view for Sunday night. Anything close by the Hyatt that anyone would recommend? There are restaurants in the Hyatt, should we just stay there? It is our first time leaving from Miami and not sure what to do on Sunday! Thanks for your in-put!:)
Langoustine Posted May 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2013 If you're looking for a great view, get in a cab and go to the Rusty Pelican (http://www.therustypelican.com/rustypelicanmiami/default.aspx) on the way to Key Biscayne. Or go to South Beach and enjoy the ambience. I grew up in Miami and think the downtown area is still a huge bore.
eandj Posted May 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2013 You could eat at one of the casual spots at Bayside Mall. Not far from you. THere are a couple right on the water. Of course you could go farther if you like as mentioned above. Depends on what really you want to do and if you are looking for something more special or "fancy". What's more impt...view (of water?), restaurant type, distance?
brunello22 Posted May 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2013 The Area 31 restaurant on the 16th floor at the Epic hotel in Downtown Miami has stunning views of the Miami skyline at night. Although I would prefer Smith & Wollensky at South Pointe Park on South Beach, as it has the only true waterside dining on South Beach.
