Good "Beach Break" in Progresso

Has anyone actually been on the Beach Resort tour through Autoprogresso since it changed? I just want to take the family to a beach that also has food and a decent pool too, and I am disappointed to here Reef Club is not an option now with AP. Is this correct? Is the new place any good? Does the Carnival excursion still include Reef Club? Is there another beach break that is better? It looks like there are several.

I went to the Reef Club last year via Autoprogreso and it was ok. The water is not the beautiful crystal clear water but it was nice enough. Our only complaint was a sewer smell that was faint at times and strong at others. I looked at the new place that AP has replaced the Reef Club with and it looks pretty much the same. If you know the name I'm sure you could Google it and find out info. That's what I did before we went to the Reef Club. Trip Advisor probably has info on it.

Anyone else? I am curious about the new place. Plus what is the difference in the different Beach breaks with Carnival? They seem to have several and I would love to see a comparison.

I can just tell you from experience, do not do the ship sponsored Corona beach break, which is right at the head of the pier , with the ugly beach and water..

You can still do the Reef through Carnival. I think it's called the all inclusive beach excursion.
