Cheers program and Casino Revenue

Has the Cheers Program had any impact on Casino Revenue? Since most people admit to drinking more on sea days and that's when the casino is in full swing I would be interested to know how, if at all, the cheers program is affecting casino revenue.

I doubt that anyone with access to Carnival's in-house analyses is going to post a reply on here.

People are on the ship more during sea days, that's why many people drink more (and gamble more) then. I don't know how much Cheers impacts the total alcohol consumption onboard.

I was on two cruises last year, one with cheers, one without. I actually found that I drank more without the cheers program. We were on cruises with other couples, and without the cheers program we bought each other drinks, bought buckets of beer, etc.. With the program, you cant do this, you can only buy one drink at a time, for yourself. So, from my point of view, I do not expect to see any difference in casino revenue. Big players get free drinks while gambling anyway. I know people say it is the drunk program, but I did not find it to be that way

My guess is that drinking less with the Cheers program is not the norm. I think that people who are drinking more than they normally do may have impulse purchases in the stores and the casino.
