Hi everyone!

I am trying to decide between spending the day at Cable beach or Junkanoo beach.

Does Cable Beach have a public restroom...if yes, where??

Where is the public path to Cable beach?

Parasiling companies on cable beach?? are they safe??

Thanks so much, very much appreciated!!!

Generally speaking.. the answer is no.. no restrooms, no parasailing or jetski vendors,, mainly, no people either.

There are a couple of public access points along the road, but these beaches are not maintained and can't be seen from the roadway, so you must be careful. There have been some robberies on these "out of sight" beaches.

Goodmans Bay, which is just before Breezes and Cable Beach is a public beach used by bahamian families on the weekends. There is a public restroom, but last was there it was disgusting. It's usually chained up.

Additionally, Goodman's bay is along a strip of beach that has riptides and strong currents.. with no lifeguards and noone else on he beach, i wouldn't go into the water at this beach. (a police man died a few years back from a sink hole, and the gov't never completed an safety investigation).

Because these beaches are used by only a handful of visitors, it's unlikely that a parasailing crew or jet ski vendor will come by.

Swim at you own risk.

The benefit of Junkanoo beach is that it not only has restrooms, Tiki bar, concession stands and chair rentals, but it is well used and there are always people near by for safety.. both in and out of the water.
