CapsR1 Posted May 12, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2013 We will be driving to Norfolk the morning of our cruise, next Sunday, May 19. Can anyone give us some ideas for a breakfast restaurant where we can eat near the cruise terminal? A couple of years ago we ate at a small family owned restaurant not far from the pier which was across the street from a large hotel (maybe a Marriott?). Any help would be appreciated. Lizard13 Posted May 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2013 Sounds like D'egg, good choice for breakfast or lunch, lots of options. You can walk to the ship from there. Enjoy! We are sailing in October, can hardly wait.;)
Ourfirstfamilycruise Posted May 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2013 Check out Freemason Abbey, I believe they do a brunch on Sundays. Not too far of a walk from the cruise terminal.
Rare finoky Posted May 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2013 Freemason Abbey doesn't open on Sundays till 11. I would agree with a previous poster and go with D'Egg. It's close to the ship and has an excellent breakfast. Enjoy your cruise.

D'Egg is the closest breakfast place to the cruise terminal that I can think of. It is not a very big place and will probably be quite busy on a Sunday morning especially with a cruise ship in port that day as well as the Beer Festival taking place that day in downtown Norfolk. 5326jan Posted May 17, 2013 #8 Share Posted May 17, 2013 D'egg very popular. If it's too crowded you can go to Jewish Mother. It opens at 11 most days, 10am on Sunday. It's a cool funky place that started in Virginia Beach many years ago. http://www.jewishmother.com/mom_says https://www.google.com/maps/vt/data=Ay5GWBeob_WIPLDYoIWcfVXxvZu9XwJ55OX7Ag,5zdeCvW0WIBrdiyt3W8elm-RR8KMctifdd5D1GV6RnwwbDgVI7Po3sw02Rax1unDpaab8gIvIiaTSLosrevx08YJ58PcCNMuE_70qwFibtKiu_o6BqKjDUXFOwYWmj4nCi0Vvl5MiXUIfttXA2SrO50x329tqwXLJ3FDYLdPiP6aWCwFk4bkgahiAUUarCP763iK-nJ5blQVKg&h=256&w=256 A is Half Moone Cruise Pier, B is Jewish Mother. These are the driving directions, you could cut off a lot of the time walking. :)
