So, can someone explain this to me? What is up with the fake Swiss chalet thing, the badly faded plastic teal plants, and the weird golden duck heads? Seriously, who designed this? It looks awful.

 

This is the most hideous Solarium i've ever seen!

If it was a wider shot you could see that they are not ducks heads but elephant ears. There is an elephant head on each side. It is actually a pretty area. If I knew how to post pic, I could post one with a wider view. Having water in the pool makes it prettier as well. The plants are a bit faded. They will probably be replaced after dry dock.

Its a lot prettier in person. I just took a bad picture of it. I wish I had taken more pictures of it. But I ended up spending very little time here because we enjoy the breeze from the outside decks.

I think it is more of an Asian theme than a swiss one but the blue plants...have no idea where you'd find those. We still enjoyed lots of time in the solarium with really great people.

I thought more of an Asian theme too, that carried on into the spa.

It is Thai themed. Beside the fact that the fake plants are old, faded, and turned a strange shade of blue, it is a very nice space.
