Good Beach in San Juan?

There is a public beach along the coastal road that leads out towards the Isla Verde and Condado areas, but it didn't look all that nice to me.

I'd go to the area where the El San Juan hotel is, the beach in that area is very nice and there are some restaurants where you can eat or get a drink as well.

If you're up for it I believe that some of the beachside hotels will let you buy a day pass to use their facilities. If so, the El San Juan (where I've stayed three times) is like a resort all unto itself. Very nice pools, spas, and beach access.

Have fun!
