Beach suggestions for Montego Bay and Cozumel

The prettiest beaches in Cozumel are on the east side of the island but you need to rent a car to get there. At the end of the coastal road where it turns 90 degrees to go back across the island and into town there is a great bar and restaurant with a very nice protected beach area for swimming. They request $5 ea (negotiable) or the purchase of a drink to use the facilities and beach, but it is amazing and not crowded at all. They have really clean restrooms and showers as well.

You can rent a small smart-type car for cheap. The fastest way to that beach is to go through town and across the island, but the prettiest way is to go right out of the pier and follow the road along the coast.

Sorry, but I don't know anything about Jamaica. Have fun!

MoBay is easy, there's only one solid choice and that's Doctor's Cave Beach. Easy cab ride from the Montego Bay dock. Beautiful water and sand, calm water. Great for swimming or just chilling on the beach.

Cozumel, you have several choices. Be aware there's a huge difference between the beaches on the east and west side. The east side of island is opposite from where you dock. These beaches are public and not really maintained. They are gorgeous, but the water is usually gonna be a bit rough for swimming due to the surf. And if you want any facilities you'll want to hit one of the ones that is adjacent to a restaurant. Best way to get to these is to rent a car. You can cab it, but you'll spend what a rental costs getting there and back.

On the west side, you're going to get more full featured beaches. The two I can personally testify as being good are Mr. Sanchos and Paradise Beach. The water is much more calm on this side and very swimmable. And you'll find full facilities at either of these for any beach activity you might want to do. These are a short cab ride from the dock, maybe 10 mins.
