Another GTY question

I found a lot of old threads about GTY cabin assignment timings, but somehow I couldn't see when is it done at the latest, possible even at the Port? My cruise is at June 2nd and I haven't been assigned a cabin yet, if I understand the online system correctly.

It does vary, although I have not heard of anyone not having an assignment by the time they arrived at the port.

 

My last one was 3 days before sailing. The next one I booked is for October 2013 and I don't yet have an assignment for that, but for a sailing in September 2014 we took a gty also and have already been assigned a cabin.

Guarantee staterooms are usually assigned ahead of time, but it's possible to not know until you arrive at the port. If you don't know by the time you get to the port, the porters are supposed to have a manifest they can consult to determine the stateroom number for luggage tags.

Usually your booking becomes unavailable to see online the day before around 3 pm. Be sure to check your booking right before them for cabin number. Most of the time it is assigned right before closing the bookings.

We did Guaranteed for a sailing in June and cabin was on our initial confirmation sheet we received as soon as we booked.

We are scheduled to sail in Sept. Booked a guarantee at beginning of April. We just received our assignment yesterday. Deck 2 mid ship. Looks like they can assign at any time.
