clairesmom Posted May 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2013 We are thinking of doing a Christmas cruise with the kids this year as we just got back from a quick 3 day Bahamas cruise with a renewed sense of fun! The girls LOVE kids camps and the activities. Has anyone done one of the holiday sailings on these lines? What kind of holiday specific stuff did they do? Is one line going to be more festive than the other? Thanks!!
boulders Posted May 27, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2013 We went on a Royal Caribbean Christmas/ New Year's cruise two years ago. There was a Christmas tree in the promenade, Santa visited in the ice rink on Christmas morning and gave out presents to the kids and there was a New Year's Eve party. Since Celebrity is owned by the same corporation, I would think they would be similar. No one other than Royal will have the ice rink for Santa though. :p
Cruisin' Chick Posted May 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2013 You didn't mention Princess, but we've been on three holiday cruises on Princess and the kids had Christmas oriented activities, even a visit from Santa. In fact, we were already back on board last December 25 and were watching the tenders bring back passengers from the day in Lahaina when my hubby pointed out that Santa was on a tender going toward the pier. Holiday movies on the Movies Under the Stars screen and on the in-cabin TVs. Crew members caroling in the Piazza.
