Courtyard by Marriott Ft. Lauderdale Beach

We are looking for a pre-cruise hotel in Ft. Lauderdale in December. We have enough Marriott points for a free night at the Courtyard by Marriott.

Would appreciate comments from those who know the property.

At first glance, it looks like a good fit for us.

Have stayed there twice before a cruise and once after, and every time we were completely satisfied. We always request a room on the intercostal waterway. Great views of the yachys and even the cruise ships.

Great location. We walked the beach, and even went to watch the ships leave on the Saturday.

Great restaurants nearby. Love Coconuts across the road with a patio on the intercostal waterway.

Suggested then place to a friend recently and she loved it too.

Don't expect 5 star.. but it is clean, comfortable and has great bedding.

Stayed here last December post cruise with points. Got a great corner room with view of the beach and intercoastal. Was able to see the ships leaving Port Everglades. Nice hotel, with a Bubba Gumps on the ground floor. I may stay here again post cruise this December.

Stayed there as well nice location and not far from the port about 15 to 20 minutes from airport. Walk across street and your at the beach. We ate at Bubba Grumps. Breakfast buffet is really high around $15.00 per person. In fact called and book again for our March 2014 cruise and ask them about the breakfast:eek:. I can't remember if there is a place close that serves breakfast but I'm looking.
