After Cruise Hotel Suggestions

We are cruising on the Valor and will not be able to fly home until very early monday morning (5:30 am) :eek:. I am looking for a reasonably priced hotel near the airport that might let us check in early or at least hang out onsite when we get off the ship. I would also like a pool area or a nice beach location. Mainly I want to be able to get to the airport early so I don't miss my flight home. Thanks for any info or suggestions.

Any of the big chains you have heard of will give you comfort convenience & a pool (double check about the pool though). You can try priceline if you want a deal -- by the AP is one of the areas you can request.

The last time I stayed at the San Juan Plaza Hotel, I spent the morning in their pool and met a group of 9 who had just gotten off the ship I was getting on. Some of them were just there for the day with late afternoon flights and some of them were staying overnight. They all got to the hotel before 11am. I assume they all paid regular room rates with check-in/check-out times flexible.

 

Condado beach is less than 2 blocks away also. I did a review of the hotel on Tripadvisor with photos, I wrote it in early January if you want to look for it.

 

I just booked this hotel again for my next cruise and it was $144 with all the tax and fees.

We booked on Hotwire for Isla Verde - Intercontinental Hotel $135 per night. - four stars. On the beach and right next to the airport.

We did a post cruise stay at a hotel in Isla Verde. Can't remember the name but it was a great deal. Got it on Priceline for $95. $116 including resort fee and taxes. I had bid for a resort.
