CocoaMom Posted June 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2013 Sister and I sailing with 2 little kids. This is the first cruise for the 3 of them. Spring 2014 sailing. Motion bothers me a lot (patch works for me) and I've always had a balcony / suite midship. We can book 2 connecting midship PR cabins OR I'm thinking a D1 AFT (1388/1688) for the 4 of us. The difference in price is under $100 total. Having a 2nd bathroom isn't a big deal for us. Question - knowing I have motion issues (and never sailed inside OR aft) which would you suggest? Clarea Posted June 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2013 I'd stick with midship if you are very sensitive to motion.
Rare Koohiichan Posted June 7, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2013 A balcony is nice if the kids are taking a nap. No one is trapped in the room. Now if they are older than that, 2 rooms might be nice for you and/or you and your sister to get some peace and quite. If you are using the patch do you still need to worry about location? Just some thoughts. Have a great cruise, Koohiichan
DonnaK Posted June 7, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2013 I would take the two PR cabins over one balcony (even over 1388)
