QE2: Inside or outside cabin ??

I know it might be a silly question, because the answer depends on your individuel demands,

but I consider booking a Mauretania outside cabin instead of an inside cabin on Mauretania. Are there importend differences? I guess the window will be a small porthole. Is this a big advantage?

Any comments are required!

Thanks

You can of course always book the inside cabins and leave the tv on to give a superb view, Iv found that with some outside m grades the porthole is generally quite high up.

Cunard do at the moment have an offer that if you book certain cruises they will give you a one grade upgrade, that is also an option, l have done this and got a superb outside single M grade on 3 deck, 3006 very spacious and above the crew disco!!. Had this cabin before and very pleased with it, its actually got a pullman berth folded away.

Or why not wait and see if your touched by the upgrade fairy???

cheers

Myles

Here is another factor to think about. Some of the outside cabins on five deck can become insides. If the sea gets rough a metal plate is fitted over the glass of the porthole. Imagine paying for an outside and getting an inside. Check in the Cunard brochure to see which cabins can be these are.

Personally if I travel alone I book the cheapest inside. If my girlfriend comes along, she like a large cabin, high up and with a big window. Then again, if I was going on a long world cruise I would probably go for an outside too.

Hope this helps, Stephen.
