prudon Posted August 24, 2013 #851 Share Posted August 24, 2013 I just thought it was worth mentioning as several have questioned the possibility. And right you are! The more facts we have the better. Thanks for the update!
UNV-IT!!! Posted August 25, 2013 #852 Share Posted August 25, 2013 I just thought it was worth mentioning as several have questioned the possibility. That statement wasn't mean negative towards you. Was just saying given Rccl's history it isn't surprising.

No worries, no offense taken. I don't want a water slide, I feel it takes away from the looks of the ship although the North Star isn't particularly attractive. TheDyesolKid Posted August 25, 2013 #855 Share Posted August 25, 2013 There goes one rumor that we can eliminate (unless, technically a water slide simulator doesn't count as a water slide :-) ) There will be a water slide simulator ;-)

littlesteelo Posted August 25, 2013 #857 Share Posted August 25, 2013 (edited) I think the rumour of a water slide simulator is ludicrous. Why not just have a cruise ship simulator and do away with it all? Would be cheaper... Plus they have already ruined the look of the ship with the giant crane arm, so I don't think adding a water slide would do much more damage to it. tls1012 Posted August 26, 2013 #859 Share Posted August 26, 2013 So let me get this straight....they are going to have a round donut looking thing as a water slide simulator on the ship? (rumored). Odd.

DEIx15x8 Posted August 28, 2013 #864 Share Posted August 28, 2013 This was posted in the Cruise Director thread! Hi everbody Richard spacey had just pósted ON Facebook he Will be taking out the quantum of the seas also he also he Will the senior cruise director,he said ken rush Will be with him to help him out. I am so happy right now! I think I've been pretty vocal about not liking Ken Rush on here. It sounds like Royal Caribbean may finally be listening and chose a compromise. Let Richard be the face and handle the people while Ken pulls the strings behind the scenes. The best of both words!
swim13 Posted August 28, 2013 #865 Share Posted August 28, 2013 Wow I've been gone for about a week and not much has happened! In other news, looks like the mural is really coming along on the Getaway and I guess they decided to update the date on the picture as well! :p

Lloyd555 Posted August 30, 2013 #874 Share Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) New video on the Two70 robots! OK, so if there’s anything I may like more than ship builds, its robots. That video reminded of something I had seen on tv in the past. Sure enough, Robotic Arts' patented RoboScreens were used at Bon Jovi’s The Circle Tour in March 2010. The screens and the part they played in the Bon Jovi tour were featured in an episode of Daily Planet, a show on Discovery Channel Canada that originally aired May 27th, 2010. Here is the clip: http://watch.discoverychannel.ca/clip307254#clip307254 Check out more at the Robot Arts/Casino Arts site http://casinoarts.com/blog/ So now looking forward to experiencing these robotic screens in Two70, the Ripcord by iFly, and maybe the bumper cars…maybe. Really interesting video, thanks for sharing. I watched the Penn State show they streamed online that year and never even realized all this robotic stuff was there. When they showed the set list it wasn't even used until half way. Huge investment for such little use, but someone had to be first. Hope Royal Caribbean can pull some amazing things off now. I doubt they'll be walking on them though, lol.
