This is my first review, so bear with me. We booked thru Island Marketing and were provided with our pass confirmation the same day as booking. Presented the pass at the desk and received two receipts, one showing the $160 total charge for four passes including the four $40 food and drink vouchers, and another confirming beach passes. Wristbands were required and you could leave the property, although everyone stayed on site with the passes. Four of us used the Blue Hole Watersports on site for our excursion and then had lunch at the Grille with the group using the day passes. We had no problem hanging out at the beach for an hour before/after eating with the rest of the group. We left to go to Starbucks on Charlotte and walked around while the others stayed at the beach before our snorkeling tour. The city was packed with cruisers/tourists and we didn't stay off the property long.

The front desk check-in was easy, with nice, friendly staff. Pool and Grille staff were also very friendly. Be aware the bar menu is separate from the food menu, so, if possible, separate your items or the person that starts your tab will get your tips, supposedly. We asked about them sharing their tips and they didn't acknowledge that. Shame on the bartender if he didn't tip share.

My photos have captions, please let me know if you have questions. We had a wonderful time and would go back again.

There are multiple links above and the first one is the only one you need; the others are duplicates of the slide show. Next time I will only post one link. I wasn't sure how it would post.

This is my favorite photo program!

Thanks,

Chris

So you can use the food credit for drinks like margaritas along with lunch? We are considering going there this Nov for the day....Thanks

I'd also like to hear confirmation as well.

It would appear from the confirmation that it can be used for alcoholic drinks. We booked the day passes for October and here is the verbiage related to the voucher:

Meeting Location/Transport Information:

Arriving by cruise ship, simply exit your cruise ship terminal and walk to the right towards the Straw Market & Senior Frogs. Just past the Straw Market/Senior Frogs you will walk to your left and follow the Street around the bend to the British Colonial Hilton Hotel on the right. It’s easy to spot. Upon your arrival to the British Colonial Hilton, please check in with the Reception Desk where you will present this Confirmation and pay the balance of your excursion. They will present each person with two vouchers. One a Pool and Beach Voucher which entitles the bearer to pool & beach access with use of towels for a day at the beach. The second is a Meal Voucher which entitles the bearer to Food & Beverage at the Patio Bar & Grill.

Yes, the voucher can be used for food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, beer and in the summer, even ice cream. Anything served at the Patio Grill and Bar. Margaritas, Bahama Mamas, frozen daqs or even your favorite martini.

Yes, drinks included. We had four in our pass group, but were issued only ONE voucher for all purchases. Maybe I should have requested four, in hindsight.

Caro- It did not get busy til around 3, and the passes are only good until 5.

I agree the slideshow link seems complicated...will try a different approach next time. Thanks for the great feedback. It is because of your comments here we selected this choice for our multigenerational group desiring varied activities. It was perfect for our needs.

We thought about the Breezes all inclusive for the day, but the thought of being close to the ship and walking distance is making us lean toward the Hilton..If I can have a couple drinks with lunch I will be more than happy!!

Thanks of the info...

Thanks for the update! :)

Am I correct to assume the single voucher was good for the 4 passes? i.e. if there are 4 adults the voucher would be good for $160 (assuming $40 credit per $60 pass)?

We chose the BCH for our upcoming October trip based on many positive comments on here. We've been to Breezes, years ago, and the BCH looks like a much better option. :)

Michelle- BCH is so close to the ships. Someone once wrote about diesel fumes from the ships being an issue and that scared me because I already have mild asthma, but it was not a problem the day we were there.

That is great to know....Looking at pictures the resort water looks beautiful and I have done research on Trip Advisor and over all the reviews are pretty favorable. So I am pretty sure we are set on doing this on our cruise in Nov.

My friend and I are cruising with our 15 year old daughters so we would feel safer staying close to the ship.

I have seen it many times from the ships deck and it always looks lovely. I usually stay on the ship in Nassau, but this is my friend's first cruise so I figure this will be a nice experience for her first time in Nassau.

I am actually looking forward to it:)

Yes, we paid 20% or 48 dollars to the Island Marketing people and the balance on the same cc at check- in after presenting the confirmation page. I think they prefer each couple/individual pay for their own pass because it gets complicated with large groups using multiple servers...the tips are all to the initializing server, in our case, the bartender;) . Unused monies can be applied to the tip, but a cc must be used for each voucher in case you go over your limit. The tips are automatically added.

Nice, thanks! I have a trip booked with Bluehole Watersports. Would like to hear more on your experience with them.

All I can say right now is that time in the water snorkeling with them was amazing, they know where to go, and it's not too far. I am waiting on my underwater camera film to be developed. Still haven't taken it in...hope we had enough sunlight for some pics to turn out. I highly recommend them.

  • 3 weeks later...

I just wanted to thank the OP for posting pics and review! SOOO helpful!

Can you comment on the amount of seaweed in the water? Was there a lot? I thought I read somewhere that this might be a problem.

Thanks!

We live near the ocean, and, unfortunately, seaweed is like jelly fish- you never know exactly when the water is going to be a mess. In general, late summer here is jelly fish season. I honestly have no idea the answer to your question, but I hope it is clear for you as it was the day we were there. Seaweed and jellies can ruin your water day (as can rough surf)...maybe do a glass bottom boat instead, if you can still see anything. GL and enjoy whatever you do!
