cleo656 Posted June 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2013 Does anyone have any ideas what can we do, walk around, with a suitcase in tow? We will be off the ship around 10 (or as late as we can) but our flight doesn't leave until 6:30 pm on a Sunday. I know there isn't anything around the port, so we would have to take a cab, but is there anywhere around the inner harbor we could just walk around, maybe get a bite to eat and look around? Thanks, Pat
Chesterpeake Posted June 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Pat, There seems to be a website for everything. I found one that has some suggestions related to storing luggage while you tour the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. I liked the first couple of answers and feel they might work out. Go here to check them out: http://baltimore.org/ask/read-qas/luggage-storage/1114 Now, as far as what to see. You will be docked within a mile or two of Ft. McHenry, Birthplace of The Star Spangled Banner, our National Anthem. Baltimore and Maryland are celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the War of 1812 and the Battle of Baltimore, September, 1814. You could stop there first perhaps en route to the Inner Harbor which is no more than ten minutes away. At the Inner Harbor you might stop first at the Baltimore Visitor's Center for an overview and short orientation film. From there you can walked south [less than a city block] to the Maryland Science Center then doubleback, maybe via water taxi, to: US Constellation, Harbor Place , Top of the World Obeservation deck in the World Trade Center, National Aquarium, Inner Harbor Cruise, etc. These are all within easy walking distance.
