Driftwoodgal Posted June 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Booking a cruise on the Legend in October 2014. I have two cruises that I am looking at. October 3 for 10 nights or Oct 13 for 11 nights. Cruises leave out of Quebec City and return to Quebec City. I know it depends on weather conditions, but trying to pick the cruise that has higher odds of seeing the leaf color change. Any suggestions? Arusha Posted June 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Here's some info about peak foliage times in New England and Canada: http://www.yankeefoliage.com/peak-foliage-forecast-map/ http://gocanada.about.com/od/canadatravelplanner/tp/fallfoliage.htm You'd probably have better luck seeing peak New England foliage on the October 13 cruise - mid-October is generally peak for Maine coast. Some of the Canadian maritimes can peak later than the Maine coast. On a cruise last year in the second half of October, Portland and Bar Harbor were past peak, but Cape Breton, Nova Scotia was still pretty a few days later. maryann ns Posted June 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Either should be fine. I find the second to third week week of October is best in Cape Breton where you can really see the leaves.
