We had an interesting experience with the Upsell Fairy in 2011. We had booked a Grand Suite with an extended balcony on the Carnival Ecstasy.

We got a call offering us an upsell to the Penthouse Suite (also called the Owner's Suite) when the Ecstasy still sailed out of Galveston, TX.

There are only two of these gigantic suites on the ship. We had been on the Ecstasy before and never realized they were there even though you can see the windows when you are at the pool. The cabin measures 916 sq ft and the balcony 110 sq ft.

Since it was our anniversary, I said yes. :D

Last night I thought I would try and see if I did the Price protection form for the price that is on carnivals website now and I just got an email that we have a $240 OBC now :)

Ok that is good to know. I was thinking I was going to get maybe $60 OBC then I got the email and was so thrilled my Fiancé is happy now that we don't have to pay the gratuities because the OBC will cover them
