Breakaway VS Getaway (S6 Aft Suite)

So through videos, and reviews, and many photos I am noticing that not all S6 aft are the same...

 

One has a second door to the balcony, (perfect if you do not want to go through the living room) from the master bath, and the tub is normal and more shallow with a standard shower, (like 11908)

 

and the other:

 

It does not have the second door, but it does have a deep soaking tub, and a shower, both in front of lovely floor to ceiling glass windows...

 

So, we pretty much know the decks/cabin numbers of some of these, to tell the diff, on breakaway...

 

How about on Getaway?

 

Do you think the layouts will be exactly the same? (Breakaway Vs Getaway)

 

NCL thinks that all of the S6 (baths) (on Breakaway) are the same, no info has been given to the TA's yet either, (except seeing them during a ship inspection) about the two bath layouts, on both ships...

 

But the cruise I have to book is on Getaway, (we are getting off in Nassau for a land vacation).

 

I would be really disappointed if I ended up with the closed in bathroom with the shallow tub. I am really in love with:

 

 

If I wait for photo/video confirmation, it will be too late...

 

Thoughts, Ideas, info please!

I have booked 12904 S6 cabin on Getaway based on the fact that the cabins and balcony size will be the same as the S6 on Breakaway. I think that both the Breakaway and Getaway will be identical footprints but have different decor and shows.

 

I will be studying the webcam on Meyer Werft website. Eventually we will catch a glimpse of an aft view. We will be able to tell the layouts for definite by the type of window/balcony doors used in these cabins.Looking forward to my large deck 12 balcony !! :)

The S6s should be identical in layout to the Breakaway. Deck 11 and 14 will have the bedroom and door to the balcony. The other decks window and tub. I am not sure there is a difference in the size of tub in either layout.

 

Hey there,

Looking at the photos of 11 and 14, and then the video of 13, its def a diff tub and bathroom layout. I really love the floor to ceiling glass windows and the larger deeper tub. Hopefully they have that tub on the next build!

Great idea!!!

Lets hope we can see the aft and see how the bathrooms will be! I know some like one type and the other for many reasons, and it would be so helpful! :)

Would also like to see Penthouse 12304. Looking to book this for our 2015 Jan/Feb cruise. Would consider 12904 on the other corner too. Pics and video please!!!! :D

12304 was taken for an end of January 2015 cruise so I have 12904 on hold until Monday.

 

I would assume it must be the same set up just on the other side of the ship. Anybody have Pics or video of this suite or has stayed there and can comment?

 

By the way $300 of OBC for the cruise! I never book this far out, always in November for January but summer is coming and the days will go by. :p

 

Any feedback appreciated!! :)

Tanya6570, when is your cruise? Would love to see if you can post some pics. I am not sailing until January 2015. I am sure there will be many in 12904 before that, it is so long away! :D

We were in 12304 on the Breakaway and loved it! The benefits of 12304 is you can see the fireworks from the balcony! We had some people join us and served Champaign and a cake from Carlo's bakery. The balcony is huge and we had lunch served several times during the cruise as well as afternoon tea. The bathroom is awesome. The bathtub had a huge window which overlooked the ocean as well as did the amazing shower. Also, they provided bath salts throughout the cruise. Tip - bring some flameless candles. Lastly, they project neon fish onto the water from the which is so cool to watch from your Aft Penthouse!

OK, We need pictures of the Penthouse! Would also like comments on motion, noise, and balcony privacy, the wall divider slants back and I saw gambee post pictures from the cabin next to 12904 on Breakaway showing the balcony of 12904 in his pics.

Glad you had a good time. I am in 12304 on the getaway next year- I am told the GA is an exact replica of the BA. Do you have any pixs of your cabin and balcony?
