Hi everyone, my family and I are traveling from Australia to go on the miracle on the 1st December. Can anyone give any helpful advice / information on the cruise port in long beach? We are staying in long beach the night before, do you know what time you van check luggage in? If you check your page in early can you go from the terminal and return later? Any help greatly appreciated. :)

Several of those going have done this itin many times.

Early check in starts around 9:30 in front of the Dome. Boarding starts around 11:30. Need to be back before sailaway (we like to leave a one hour cushion.) Have to be checked in mo later then 90 minutes before sailaway.

The Passport bus is free. It stops at tourist locations. Also stops off at a WalMart if you need to pick up anything. (The clientele can be a bit sketchy but we've never had a problem.) One location is in the Queen Mary parking lot. Many of the crew use this.

The Queen Mary is permanemtally docked next to the Carnival dock.

The above also has a picture of the QM, Dome and the Carnival Paradise.

Our top notch aquarium in Long Beach. Can be seen in two hours, we usually spend all day.

Weather in December can be anything from cold to hot.

Thanks sadieN,

Much appreciated. We are staying at the courtyard downtown long beach and we're just trying to plan what we would do on embarkation day. 9.30 sounds good do you know if it is easier to go early or wait a bit later?

No idea as to what is best. We usually arrive around 11-11:30am.

Around 9-9:30 the porters should be taking luggage. They will be at the lower level of the parking structure.
