CINDYSUE Posted May 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2004 I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO BOOK A CANAL CRUISE OUT OF GALVESTON FOR QUITE AWHILE NOW. WHEN I CALL, I KEEP GETTING A DIFFERENT ANSWER. TWO YEARS AGO I BOOKED A HAWAIIN CRUISE ABOUT 20 MONTHS IN ADVANCE. ANYONE KNOW WHY THESE CRUISES ARE NOT AVAILABLE YET? hajekfam Posted May 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2004 Celebrity usually puts out their schedules in May for the following cruise year. However, the last few years they have been running late. I think part of the problem is they are not sure how many ships to send to different areas (Celebrity has less ships than quite a few lines and seem to do a more varied selection of itineraries than other cruise lines with a limited number of ships.) For 2003 -2004 cruise year, bookings were released in June. Last year, bookings were released in late July-Aug for the 2004-2005 cruise year (cruise year is May to April). I got a reply saying to keep watching their web site because they should have the information loaded within the next few weeks. I've heard this before, but maybe it's correct this time!
