Ok this will be my second cruise with NCL, but my first time on the Breakaway (04/13/14). I already know that things like alcohol, soda, and specialty restaurants, spa, bingo, ect..... have an additional fee, I also know most entertainment on the cruises is free, but I am reading that there are some bars and clubs that charge admission. Also are all the shows free, Even the broadway ones? If any one knows, can they breakdown the prices of the extras that no one really talks about? Thanks so much in advance!

The only pay entertainment venue on the Breakaway is the Cirque show, since it is a dinner-theater and considered a specialty restaurant.

All other shows are free...but the main theater shows do require (or recommend) reservations... at no charge.

Liquor, soda, specialty restaurants, dinner show, bingo, casino, gratuities, photos, port excursions - of course none of these are mandatory in anyway with the exception of gratuities. You can have a perfectly wonderful cruise and never indulge in any of these "extras" if you don't want to.

The only bar that you have to pay for is the Ice Bar which I believe is $20. The other area you should consider is buying a Vibe pass. On my cruise July 7th this area was not too crowded when it came to finding a lounger. The $79 was the best investment I made all week plus no kids running around. It was very crowded on the rest of the ship. This may not be as big of an issue during your cruise however.

.....The 2nd City Dysfunctional Family Reunion.

The cost: $20.

And there is 1 more actually, for the little kids, Pajama Jam Nickelodeon.

The cost: $20.

Hope this helps.

You stated most of them except for the Ice Bar was extra to get into. and if you want to see the Cirque de solei show in the Speigel tent it is an extra charge but minimum and well worth it. The four of us had a good meal with plenty of large shrimp and steak. Show was excellent. Everything in Carlos Bakery you have to pay for and let's not forget bottled water as an extra. This is all no different than any other ship or cruise line.

They have removed the free movie channels from the TV's and now charge $10 per pay-per-view movie.

Ordering Pizza any time from room services is an extra $5.

Ordering any room service from Midnight to 5am is an extra $4.

All the gym work-out classes cost extra money.

Carlos Bakery, Specialty Coffees, and Gelato are all extra dollars.

I see that you wrote all the gym work-out classes cost money. I thought I read somewhere that they provide zumba classes for free. Is this not the case?

Thank you.

H20 is just as good.....and no charge. IMO, of course!
