Wddeni Posted July 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2013 Returned on Monday from first Cruise & Stay Loved every minute...however I must say I was extremely disappointed in the service in all areas apart from "Horizons" I will pit this down to a one off experience and would certainly not let this prevent me from booking again Vibration; well on deck 7 room 120 and the vibration sent me to sleep at night Fantastic:D This was a Suite, lovely and spacious, we had curtain tracks between bedroom & sitting area , No Curtains? Curtain Tracks & Tie Back Hooks between bedroom area and cabin door, No Curtains? Full size bathroom, did use the bath once :-) Hotel was great too Downside: Kilt Taken and worn for Captains night:) transfer from ship to hotel not offloaded with luggage:( Coach company contacted within 10 minutes of leaving but never seen again

Wddeni Posted August 1, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted August 1, 2013 Glad you had a good time! we have this cabin 120 on Crimean Discovery starting Monday, was the view obstructed at all? Hi I would say it was a good view but slight obstructions between "posts" structure of ship ( not sure of actual name ) There was certainly a larger area between "posts" for room next door You could also see bottom of life boats, IMO this did not affect view I was however able to sit on top of sofa and get some pics Hope this helps It was a lovely cabin....you will see what I mean re curtains lol Have a fab time:-)

Wddeni Posted August 2, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted August 2, 2013 Thankyou for the information, can I ask you another question, booking a suite you get Premier boarding how does that work? Well that's another story Basically when you get off the transfer from airport to cruise terminal you get off the bus to collect an envelope at a desk It was clearly marked in pink I think SUITE The next advisor looked at our envelope and put us in a queue We stood waiting for a good while when I noticed a sign further down to the right saying priority boarding, there were people on our coach who were not in suites who were escorted to this queue Once aboard the ship, next day we met to organise celebration pack with Celebration Co Ordinator we asked about this as surely it's all payable extras She apologised stating we should have been put in priority queue Too late by then lol Also when you get off coach and get put in queue, once you are being seen to they offer safety deposit boxes, we took one chargeable to MasterCard they give you a fob We could not work our what fob was for as ours was digital, checked at reception to be told Suites get them free!! So again we had been missed as paying for an expensive upgrade....just little bits to help you along:)
