rfholcom Posted June 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2005 Does anyone have the Carnival Caper for a Southbound Alaska cruise this year? Thanks!
Chat Noir Posted June 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2005 I saved all my Capers...but they hardly stick to the original itinerary. Is there something specific you want to know?:)

rfholcom Posted July 6, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted July 6, 2005 Just wanted a general idea of what types of activities were available on the Southbound cruise. Specifically great would be kids clubs activities.
Chat Noir Posted July 7, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2005 Here's a sample from Friday, June 10th for Camp Carnival: 9:00am Camp Carnival opens 2-5:45 Free Play in the Fun House 5:45 Kids Dinner La Playa Grill 8:15-10:00pm Movie Night (2-14yrs) It says to check Camp Carnival Capers for full activities - which I don't have, sorry. Leaves me wondering what exactly went on between 9am & 2pm. Entertainment otherwise: Art Auction Library open for books and games Arts and Crafts Dance Classes Nostalgic TV trivia Yearbook trivia Super Shopper Talk with Clayton Sea Fued What's my Line Austin Powers Dance Class Movie Link trivia Big Screen Movie "Electra" & lotsa spa/gym - piano/concert stuff A sample from Tuesday, June 14th No Camp Carnival Itinerary that I can see...probably just the kids capers list it. Other Entertainment: Whales Alive by naturalist Michelle Card players meet Name that tune Slogan trivia Scavenger Hunt Golf Putting Competition Camp Carnival Kids Talent show Karaoke Win a Cruise Bingo Glacier Ice Carving Demonstration Line Dancing Scrabble Knockout Competition and the spa & concert stuff Wow...where was I when all this was going on??? Guess I was too busy just eyeballing the scenery. And perfectly happy at that! I will say we enjoyed the evening shows by Pepper with his balancing act and silent comedy, and the comedy of Carol Hughes. Never went to the Spirit Dancers which was held a couple of nights as we mainly went to see Alaska. I think I need to book a boring sea cruise just so we can see what's onboard without missing any scenery. Good Luck on your cruise.
rfholcom Posted July 7, 2005 Author #6 Share Posted July 7, 2005 Thanks, I am sure that we will not participate in much of the ship's activities but just wondered. We have full days planned doing tours on port days so I am sure those nights will be spent sitting on the balcony or sleeping. Thanks again for the information. It was very helpful. Sounds similar to the Canadian cruise we took last year. We went to 1 show but most of the time was spent just watching the scenery.

sea_u_onboard Posted February 18, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 18, 2006 Anyone have scans of these that they could send?
donnachipper Posted February 18, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 18, 2006 I would love to have those too. We are going in August/Sept of this year. I have always loved the onboard activities. But I have never been to Alaska. I might not get off the balcony. :) Donna
