Saint John Adventures Zip Line

Recommended Posts

Cruise: RCCL Brilliance - 9-22-13 - 7 Day New England/Canada

Port: Saint John, NB

I am interested in checking out Saint John Adventures Zip Line (http://www.saintjohnadventures.ca/) during my upcoming cruise. Royal doesn't offer an excursion, which is ok ($$)....but my question is in regard transportation.

- Does a bus go from the port to this location?

- I'm sure it's pretty easy to get a cab there from the port, but how about getting a cab from the Zip Line back to town?

I would also be interested in any general feedback on Saint John Adventures from anyone who's experienced it.

You can catch a bus in front of city hall (couple blocks from ship) and it stops at the entry of Fallsview Park. Tell the driver you want to get off there as you probably won't know where the stop is located. It's only a 5 to 7 min bus ride. Taxis are cheap and should be available at park. In the unlikely event there is no taxi there, someone from Saint John Adventure will call you a taxi. If Harbour Passage is reopened by that time (currently closed due to construction on bridge above it) you can hike there in about 30 minutes.

You may want to call and reserve I saw another posting here stating they weren't able to do the excursion because the cruise line had it all booked up with their customers.

If that is sold out, I would highly recommend the jet boat tours. they are at the same location. Personally the zip line looked pretty tame. The jet boat tours are about half the price and extremely exciting. You will get soaked but it was worth it. I would take a taxi to that point regardless of what you do. It was only $10 and if you have a couple of people its better than the city bus and faster. We had no problem getting a taxi back and people were constantly coming and going in the taxis.

Did them two years ago before they were picked up by Carnival. Best to call them they do not allow walk ups now when cruise ship is in port. Be sure there isn't a Carnival ship there when you are.

Taxi was $8 CD they took american for three of us.

Watch out for the fog ;) here is DNc coming up a bit short of the landing with the guide taking out a rope to pull her in.
