Cabin categories 8B vs. 8D

Recommended Posts

So thru price drops and such right now I could hop up from an 8B to an 8D. is there much difference? same room on a higher deck right?

Well it depends a little bit on which ship, and which specific cabins, but most of the time the 8B is on a deck right above public areas such as the night club and casino, so you may hear loud music at night. On some ships 8D has nothing but cabins above and below it, so it should be nice and quiet. Even if the 8D has a public area above it, it would be the Pool area, so it wouldn't be too loud at night. Same cabin, better location.

the 8b I currently have is on the Dream. I had done my research prior to booking and found deck 7 was sandwiched by cabins above and below... which would probably be the same on deck 8...

Oh, ok, I forget that there are some 8Bs on Deck 7. Then the difference would be that the 8Ds on deck 8 are more in the middle while the 8Bs on Deck 7 are more forward or aft.
