Ok guys lets talk about wine. Cruising with another three persons, one of whom is a kid ( no no not wine for him:D) the other my sister that doesn't drink and the last but not least my mom which she can have a glass of wine during dinner. Now my question is "does anybody know the prices of the wine by the glass?" average that will be. I am trying to figure out, since two of us drink it. if it is better to get a bottle ( or two :D) or order by glass. And I'd like too have one glass sitting outside our balcony ;)

Each adult can carry on a 750ml bottle each. No corkage fee if you don't bring it into the MDR. You could carry a glass full into the MDR. If you run low buy a bottle and the waiters will hold it for you till next meal or take it with you.

Are you talking about ordering it with dinner in the MDR? If so, you don't have to drink it all in one sitting. They will cork it and keep it for you until the next night's meal.

Depending on how much you will drink daily, it is cheaper to buy the 3 bottle or 5 bottle wine package. They have 3 levels of the packages and each has different wines. DW and I always purchase the wine package on Embark day. You receive coupons for the wine and redeem as you need.

We always carry ours on and ask the room steward for a couple of wine glasses. They are awesome always keeping it on ice and we just bring a glass to dinner if we prefer;)

You can also get wine glasses at any bar. If you bring on wine, but not a cork screw, your room steward can get you 1 to open the bottle.

For as many times as we have cruised we have never bought the wine package. Can you redeem your vouchers at bars outside the mdr? Or are they only for use in the mdr?

You can redeem in MDR or any bar. DW and I usually redeem ours at Casino or Atrium bar. We then sit, enjoy the wine and people watching, and dance if music available.:D

Do you go to the shop ( once the ship leaves the port) or to guest service to order the package?

They usually set up a display of the various wine packages available in the lobby or even out by the pool on the day of embarkation. It is usually cheaper to buy the bottle than to buy the glass. There are approximately 4-5 glasses of wine in a bottle (depanding of course on the sizwe of the glass) and you can buy bottles of wine for 22-$30.00 which is still less than the $32.00 for 4 glasses of wine plus tip! We each bring a bottle in our carry on for the room plus buy a package onboard but then again we are exclusively wine drinkers.

a bottle of wine serves 5 glasses of wine. If you don't drink the whole bottle that evening, your server will cork it and you can have it on another night of the cruise. you can even have 2 bottles going at once, say one red, one white. We do this to save money. always cheaper to buy a bottle than wine by the glass. Love that they offer this for you.

They save it even if I am in the anytime dining and the server not likely been the same every night?

You can bring one bottle of wine per adult with you. Bring your own bottle opener and you don't have to pay the corkage fee. Open the bottles in your room and take a glass down to dinner with you. Much cheaper and you get your favorite wine without all of the hassle!
