Hydra in October

We are wondering if Hydra is doable for a day trip in Early October. We would like to walk around, have a nice lunch, and then take a later boat back to Athens. Will at least a few places still be open Oct 11?

We were there in November and had gloriously sunny weather. Hydra is one of my all time favourite places in the world. The people are extremely friendly and we had a lovely lunch while there. I would love to return and stay for even longer next time.

As for what would be open that time of year, all the shops and restaurants seemed to be flourishing when we were there.

Awesome to hear. We were in Italy last year around that time and you could see that everything was closing down already and businesses were spotty! Nice to see that Greece remains active even though the "slow" season...
