JKCruisers Posted August 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2013 On our October 5 Glory cruise we are going on the Bay of Fundy Whale Watching excursion out of St John NB to St Andrews. This is the end of the whale watching season, so I am wondering if anyone has been on this excursion in October that could tell me how good the whale sightings were? I know it could vary from year to year, and probably day to day, even in the peak of the season, but still interested in past October experiences. It will still be a great adventure even if we don't see as much as we would like. Thanks.
bruisin4cruisin Posted August 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2013 Anxiously looking for a reply on this one. We are looking at the July 31,2014 sailing and that could be a good one if we are in season.
CrusinCyndi Posted August 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2013 We were there last October and did not see any whales...which was a bummer...however we had lots of rain/fog for the trip so there may have been some there but were hidden by the fog
maryann ns Posted August 11, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2013 I have not gone in September or October, but if the operators are still going out then there are likely to be whales. Here are some Nova Scotia (Brier Island area) operators to look up. See when their season ends. http://nstravelguide.com/what/whalewatching
PennyAgain Posted August 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2013 That late in the season I had a trip cancelled due to very, very heavy fog.
