Cruiser-66 Posted August 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Trying to decide between these two tours. We want a tour with less people and it sounds like these are both smaller groups. I don't know for sure what the difference is so thought I'd ask, and see if someone on here can help. They both cost the same.
cruising in the sun Posted December 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2013 I would recommend Cayman Eco Adventures. We have been with Cayman Eco Adventures and Moby Dick Tours, they are both good quality companies, but Cayman Eco Adventures takes about half as many people per tour (25 max) and their boat is twice as fast. The faster boat allows for an extra stop at a place called Starfish Point during the same length tour. Whichever company you choose, you will have a great time. Hope this helps. lovin the sun Posted January 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2014 Cayman Eco Adventures gets my vote, best excursion of our entire cruise. Stingrays were awesome, boat was comfortable, crew was friendly and professional. It was nice being able to fit in the third stop over at starfish point. embed20 Posted March 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2014 Sting Ray City Review: I highly recommend you to use the Cayman Eco Adventures tour on the Cayman Island. It took us about two minutes to find our group, The tour guide, Kevin, told us that they never leave without anyone behind and that they would take you even if you were the only one. Then, we took a bus to a small dock. The ride was about 15 minutes long. After that, we took a medium sized boat to the sandbar. The boat was very safe, and there was a bathroom. The ride took about 20 minutes. But, the ride flies by. You get to see the beautiful water, and we even saw a giant sea turtle! When we got close to the sandbar, the tour guide told us a little about the stingrays. Kevin cares about the safety of sea creatures as much as the tourists' safety. It was very clear, clean and shallow. Soon, the stingrays were surrounding us. Then, Kevin pulled out the food. The sting rays loved it. You had to hold your hand in a fist with the bait sticking out, and the sting rays would suck it out of your hand. It was really cool. Our tour guide gave us a chance to kiss and hug the rays. They were like little puppies. They loved eating food and getting loving. After we were all done, which was about half and hour, we got back on the boat. Then we rode about 4-5 minutes to the snorkeling spot. He offered marks and snorkels. All equipment is in good condition. The coral was very beautiful. Kevin told us the names of all the fish if we asked. After we were done snorkeling, we rode for about 10 minutes to Starfish Point. Starfish Point was very pretty, and the starfish were bigger than my hand. When we were all ready to leave, we took a 25 minute boat ride back to the dock. This excursion was the highlight of our trip!
chica Posted March 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2014 We were just on the tour with Mobey Dicks. I would certainly recommend them as having a great crew and we had anawesometime. There were 18-20 people on our tour. Punch and water is supplied along with snorkel equipment, including swim vests. The crew assisted in helping you hold and in the case of my son, kiss a string ray.
