Celebrity TransAtlantic 2005?

Does anyone know if Celebrity will be doing a TransAtlantic in Apr or May 2005??

I WAS BOOKED on NCL Transatlantic 4 Apr 2005, but they have cancelled the trip (SOB!) and I'm looking for a replacement. Celebrity is my favorite line. I've also seen that Princess has offerrings.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Celebrity Transatlantic itineraries aren't published yet for 2005. Keep an eye on the Celebrity web site. Here is a link to check it out.

They should be coming out any week now.

Barb,

I, too, am desperately seeking an eastbound T/A. My wife and I are on the Galaxy westbound in September and plan to go east in April/May.

Based on the ships Celebrity has had in the Med the last couple of years, here is my guess of choices and the last dates each ship has posted for now.

Galaxy has been doing Baltimore - Rome for a couple of years. It's last cruise for now ends up in Galveston May 7th. Could be a 14-15 day trip to Rome.

Constellation has been doing San Juan - Dover for a while. It ends up in San Juan on Apr 23rd. Probably a repeat of 2004 eastbound.

Millennium has been going Ft Lauderdale - Barcelona. It finishes it's Caribbean trips May 1 in Ft Lauderdale. We're hoping it will be a repeat of the 2003 and 2004 itineraries as that would be our first choice.

As an aside, the Brilliance is probably going from Miami to Barcelona around April 29th. I base that on the fact that there is a 3-day cruise out of Barcelona on May 12 that starts a string of 7-day Med cruises. Right now, the last Canal trip shown ends up in Miami Apr 19th, but that is 10 days too early. I'm guessing that they will add one more since April 29th would be right for a 14-day to Barcelona.

For us, since we want to go to Barcelona (I already have airline tickets coming back from Barcelona), we would look at either Millie (first choice) or Brilliance (not a bad alternative at all). It really boggles my mind that they can post med trips but not the transatlantic to get the ship to Barcelona. Lord knows they don't seem to mind making itinerary changes after the fact.

Hope this helps.

2003 only had two ships in Europe - the Millennium and the Constellation. The Galaxy was pulled just after the itineraries were posted. In 2001 there was just the Millenium. I believe the Galaxy Rome to Baltimore is a new itinerary this year.
We are also waiting for a westbound transatlantic. (Love those 25 hour days)
For 2003, bookings opened in mid June 2002(checked my saved email from my TA - we booked the cruise the day bookings opened - our TA had all the particulars she needed to reserve). Last year, they didn't open bookings until July. I would keep a watch on their website as well as this board to see when they are open.

Zenith-Western Caribbean-6/92
Zenith-Eastern Caribbean-6/93
Century-Maiden Voyage-12/95
Galaxy-Southern Caribbean-11/99
Mercury-Northbound Alaska-6/00
Millennium-Westbound Transatlantic-9/01
Horizon-Western Caribbean - Adults only cruise-11/02
Millennium-Westbound Transatlantic 10/26/03
Century - Western Caribbean 1/31/04

Thanks for all the info--just a couple of questions and perhaps some of your past experiences:

Since we are leaving Sunday for a month in Europe, do you think it would be wise to contact a TA and tell them exactly what we want and have them book it for us while we are gone?

Or do you think we would be wiser to just wait until we return (mid-June) and go with what is available?
