caber Posted August 28, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2013 I am sorry if this is on another thread but I would like some help in deciding what to do for a half day in the Bahamas. It is in January so I don`t want to swim but would like to see a bit of local history. Would I be better taking a ship`s tour or going it alone? Are there taxis available, like the Caribbean, which will take you on a tour round?
Amy from Delaware Posted August 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Caber, I was just going to ask the same question so hopefully someone will answer. I'll be in Nassau on January 8, in the afternoon/evening. How about you?
lovebelle Posted August 29, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2013 There are always taxi's available to take you around. Last time we rented a scooter but would not reccomend this since it was scary and road rules are not really followed...lol. You could do a self guided walking tour. Ill be doing a walk to the queens Staircase then stopping at the pirate museum and maybe junkanoo beach (all of which are walking distance). Another suggestion Ive read on here is a cultural Food tour which sounds interesting.
caber Posted August 29, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Thanks lovebelle, After looking some more I thought the walking tour might be a good thing to do. There looks like some interesting things near the cruiseport. Three Rings, We are on 18th Jan Emerald Princess cruise. It is a morning call, the first day at sea.
