From St. Thomas - Anybody do the Destination St. John - Guided Shopping Shore Excur

We are on the Reflection the week after your cruise, and our original STG St John shopping tour was also cancelled. I ended up booking STL2-Destination St John Coastal Cruise for the same price. It lists RT transportation, short coastal cruise, and 3-3 1/2 hours of private time. You may want to consider this option.

 

I'll take a look at it again - thanks. I thought it was all a coastal tour so that is good to know. I am trying to maximize our time on Trunk Bay so I'd rather go straight there, but this may be the best we can do.

My mother and I are on the December 20, 2013 Equinox sailing. Anyone interested in sharing a cab/van to explore St John on our own. We are going to purchase the ship's ST03 tour "Self Explore St. John, then look for a cab/van to take us around the island.

When you get to St. John the cab drivers will load up the open air safari style truck. You don't have to worry about sharing a cab because thosee drivers won't move an inch without a relatively full truck.......

Hard to believe, but with all of the cruise stops we've had in St. Thomas we've never been to St. John. I know the beaches are supposed to be beautiful but I'm recovering from a broken ankle last month and a beach might be problematic, even 60 days from now.

 

Question is, what else is there to do in St. John?

We did a tour of the beautiful island. People could get out and walk or opt to stay in the bus at the different sites.

After the tour was done, we had about 1.5 hours to look around the town and shops.

It gave me a good idea of the island and its beauty. One day we will just go to a beach.
