DavidIW Posted September 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2013 We haven't sailed with RCI before and I have been going through our cruise docs for October 2013. Whilst setting up the on board expense account it asks whether I want the currency converting by RCI Conversion Programme or my credit card provider. As I have no experience of this I wondered what others choose. Any advice would be very helpful. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

If so, it's generally better to let your credit card company do the conversion

Rare NorbertsNiece Posted September 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Definitely what Bob said.... the cruise ship rates will NOT be competitive.... I think Santander have a card that doesn't impose charges on conversion. Maybe the Post Office?
