Charleston SC hotel

We'll be cruising from Charleston SC and are looking for a reasonable hotel/motel where we can leave our car - for free or say, $5 a day. Would also like free transportation to port if possible. At the port, at $12 a day for 11 days, this way might be more economical. (In Fort Lauderdale we leave our car for $5 a day with free transportation to and from port!)

I didn't think Holland American went out of Charleston.

Where did you get idea we're going on Holland America????? We're not!!!

We live in NC and love idea of easy drive to port. Going on NCL'sMajesty for 11 days!

Parking in Charleston is a nightmare. A premium nightmare at that. I know there's secured parking at the terminal, but I don't know how much it is (I can find out if you want me to). The multi story garages are not cheap either. I'm thinking the terminal parking will be the most economical.

The Charleston airport is 12 miles and 20-30 (at most) minutes from the terminal. When you're arriving, you should anticipate congestion at the terminal that will add 15 minutes to your total time.
